The other day the hubby and I went Christmas shopping , fully intent on getting all of our shopping done in one day. Being that we have had a grand total of zero days so far to get it done, with his schedule, my schedule, the kids being sick, and the list being small this year cause both his family and my family decided not to draw names this year. We only had six kids and one teacher to shop for, so shopping was going to be a breeze, so we thought. Well at least 3 1/2 hrs and at least 10 stores later here is the only purchase we made, other than lunch, a new rug for our entry way. Are we on the ball or what. We spent $73.86 and all we came back with was a rug and full bellies....So today will be our second attempt to get Christmas shopping done. With everyone and there brother out trying to get that perfect last minute gift, I'm sure it will be quite interesting. I say last minute cause to me the one who usualy is mostly done gift shopping by the last week in November, a week before Christmas is last minute.....When did the Holidays become so stressful... Oh thats right when I became married with children. Ya marry one person and soon theres 10 other people to try and please( kids and inlaws). Ya love them but lets face it shopping for them can be a big pain in the very ample caboose....

A Sigh of Relief!!!

When I walked in to the recovery room and saw your small frame all wrapped from head to toe with blankets my heart skipped a beat. You looked so fragile, like a sleeping child, just your face was all I could see. The heaviness weighing down my heart the last few months left and in its place was thankfulness and gratitude. Just let her wake up Lord was all I asked. When Kruze bent to gently kiss and touch your face, your eyes opened and all his worries faded. I paused for a second to thank God he had brought you through. I knew I could never spend my life without you. . And even though they do this surgery everyday, that fear of losing my sister was always there. You have been my rock and shelter from the storm. And knowone else could fill that place in my heart where you belong. I know you have many things left to do, so I thank the Lord he let us keep you. And let it be known on this day, I love you sis in every way....So thankful he let you stay...

In loving memory of my Grandfather who would have been 76 years old tomorrow. Taken from us 10 years ago.... I miss you Grandpa, I can still remember the way you smelled of Irish spring soap, your corny jokes, your Tim Conway shuffle, the way your eyes would light up whenever you seen us, your sweet smile, the warm hugs you gave, those grayish blue eyes that looked on all of us with unconditional love, and how you loved the Holidays....Life is just not the same without you...I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!
