Revolving Dooraphobia

I made the mistake of confiding in the hubby during one of our many convesations about how anal people and there phobias can be, that I had a fear of revolving doors. You know the ones that spin in a circle, and for a few split seconds your stuck between to pains of glass in your own little space. I'm not quite sure where this fear came from, truefully it's not really a fear, it's more like a thought that goes through my mind everytime I go through one, what if it stopped revolving and I were to be trapped in it, how would they get me out. Could I break the glass, would they have to pry me out, would I run out of air. Well in a moment of weakness I confessed to my husband this anal little secret I had been caring for far to long on how revolving doors freaked me out,( I have whole other issues about escalators that I won't even get into)... Well he informed me it was not posssible to get stuck in a revolving door based souly on the fact he had never heard of it happening and even if it were possible he would break the glass and get me out, this brought little comfort being that our medical clinic has one and he is rarely with when I go. I remember picking the kids up from school the day of our discussion and the hub telling the boys about momma's fear of revolving doors, their was a great deal of laughing coming from the three of them at my expense. "Ha Ha Ha if it would happen to anyone it would happen to you" were the comments flying about the vehicle. I soon forgot the laughing and the comments tell the day we had to take the oldest to the clinic to see the Doctor and get his inhaler prescription renewed for his school records. I felt a slight bit of apprehension like I always do as I came closed to the revovling door, but I decided to get a hold of myself and just walk through as guickly as possible, no sweat, so I did and the damn thing stopped dead with me stuck in there, were talkin panic like you wouldn't beleive. That was until I heard the roar of laughter coming from behind me, it appears my dear sweet family decided it would be loads of fun to stop the revolving door with me in it, Ha Ha lets see if she shits her pantys in front of a bunch of people, how funny would that be. NOT FUNNY guys!! After a few seconds which felt like hours they let me out. I quickly peered around to see if anyone noticed my humiliation at the hands of those I call loved ones, thank the good Lord the only one who say was the older lady at the information desk who chastised my crew for playing with the door. I felt justice had been served, just a little bit anyway...To my little jokers, who seem to think I am their source of intertainment, all I can say is SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN....
